Train Station

Train station, I can hear the engine ahead
Destination, that unknown place I am led

Now I’m starting to fade, into the backdrop of this scene
Like the statue in a courtyard, I am frozen to the green

Chorus:
But I could go where the stars don’t shine, or I could follow the bright, bright sun
I am free to roam this frontier dome all alone if I try

The table of departures and arrivals has become much more madness to me
Numbers that bleed together never portray reality

There’s a ragged man beside me, he’s been busted, broken down
The only force that drives him forward is the child he lost but found

(chorus)

The dew drops on my newspaper, I can’t tell if they’re tears
I’m leaving for somewhere safer, where I’ll shack up the next few years

Every day is a dogging day, it drains me to the core
The voices that waywardly guide me are not speaking anymore

(chorus)

Maybe you forgive me or better you forget
I’m sorry for the pain i caused, I know you suffered from it

The rafters are leaking, the gateway it is creaking
The gentle rain outside is starting to subside

(instrumental)
(chorus)
