R.I.P. JojoZone

Saturday, January 10th, 2009

Less is more ( more or less ),  so I’ve decided to simplify my web presence as much as possible. As of now, the old JojoZone website is officially retired. Sniff.

It’s hard for me to believe the site lasted about ten years ( very long in internet time ), but it’s time for me to throw it in the dusty closet with the faded shag carpet and bell-bottom jeans, and well… move on.

You may notice that a bunch of old posts have disappeared here on Thought Knots as well.  I’m basically just spring cleaning right now.  I’ll gradually re-post them, but my aim is to make this site a bit more focused now.

Texas or Bust

Friday, July 20th, 2001

Looks like I will be travelling to Texas soon to stay for a few days. Somehow, hearing the local weather reports of “hot and humid” from trusted sources (i.e. my posse), does not help me look forward to this journey. Although, I’ll be a bucket of sweat everywhere I go, I’ll still be in the company of my hometown family and friends. So much has changed there, so I’ve heard. I’m looking forward to checking out the progress. Unfortunately, I can’t stay so long, so it will more than likely be a busy vacation, an oxymoron I can probably live with.

Hot Summer Night

Thursday, June 28th, 2001

Cat meows at my feet, whining forever. I’m in a dark room lighted only by the glow of a monitor. The fans are blowing full force, and the desert night is not chilly as it should be. Yesterday, I was rummaging through some of my old notes, and found a bunch of cheesy stuff I wrote a while back (circa 1995), I probably will view this web-journal with the same regard, someday, but oh well I’m having fun. Haven’t made plans for 4th of July yet.

enter monsoon

Saturday, June 23rd, 2001

Well monsoon season is here in Tucson. There was a really cool “ring of fire” ablaze on top of the Santa Catalinas on Thursday night. Quite surreal. The summer is still sizzling, but the monsoon rain mitigates it, which is refreshing. Currently, not much is going on except for work. May be planning a statewide road trip to visit my hometown sometime in September.
